What Does Your Nose Say About You?

Hey there guys. How was your day? I hope you all are doing well. Today we will be discussing an important topic What does your nose say about you? People’s noses say a lot about them. If it is a perfectly sharp nose then it is said according to some beliefs that the person has a very sharp mind. I don’t believe in all this generally but this is the truth. We humans often fall prey to these types of unorthodox beliefs. Also, there is a saying that if you have a flat nose then the person is very dumb and he has no knowledge of anything whatsoever.

Even in the most developed countries like America some people believe these things. See I don’t hate America it is a great country and people living in there are great. I truly respect America and American culture. People living in there are very hard working and do their job honestly. This helps the economy greatly. Nose is an important organ and is the reason for the working of one of our basic senses – smelling. It is truly awesome.

Scientists have found out that humans could smell thousands of smell and remember them for a very long time. Smells have the ability to refresh our memories. In fact many of our senses are capable of doing that. Dogs have a very strong smelling sense. It is thousand times better than humans. They also have the capability to track a smell from a very long distance. The reason they are able to trace the smell is due to the fact that all things have a distinct smell and with dogs sharp nose we could smell anything. But there are other animals also who have a strong sense of smelling.

I hope you liked my short article. If you have any further insights on the topic then feel free to share it down in the comments section below. Play the quiz as well. Don’t forget to share it with your friends and family.

Quotes on noses:

“I define a nose, as follows,—intreating only beforehand, and beseeching my readers, both male and female, of what age, complexion, and condition soever, for the love of God and their own souls, to guard against the temptations and suggestions of the devil, and suffer him by no art or wile to put any other ideas into their minds, than what I put into my definition.—For by the word Nose, throughout all this long chapter of noses, and in every other part of my work, where the word Nose occurs,—I declare, by that word I mean a Nose, and nothing more, or less.”
― Laurence Sterne, The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman

“Short, square, cleanshaven, his head seemed carved out of an elephant’s tusk, the whole massive cone of ivory left more or less complete in its original shape, eyes hollowed out deep in the roots, the rest of the protuberance accommodating his other features, terminating in a perfectly colossal nose that stretched directly forward from the totally bald cranium. The nose was preposterous, grotesque, slapstick, a mask from a Goldoni comedy.”
― Anthony Powell, A Dance to the Music of Time: 3rd Movement

“The people of Ike-no-o used to say that Zenchi Naigu was lucky to be a priest: no woman would ever want to marry a man with a nose like that. Some even claimed it was because of his nose that he had entered the priesthood to begin with. The Naigu himself, however, never felt that he suffered any less over his nose for being a priest. Indeed, his self-esteem was already far too fragile to be affected by such a secondary fact as whether or not he had a wife.”
